Good Shepherd has been in a growing partnership with Mnene Parish in Mberengwe Zimbabwe in southern Africa. It is the oldest parish in Zim, begun by Swedish Lutheran missionaries 101 years ago. It is a rural parish with a center and 11 outlying “congregations”. Mnene Parish center has a European style church building, elementary & high schools, an orphanage, and a clinic/nursing school. The outlying “congregations” are typically led by deacons & evangelists, and usually gather under a tree for worship.
