Mission statement
- To Believe: Stephen Ministers actively represent Christ to care receivers in their time of need, enriching their life situation and their relationship with God.
- To Belong: Our congregation takes ownership of Stephen Ministry and utilizes it through active referrals and participation in Stephen Ministry-sponsored programs.
- To Serve: Our Stephen Ministry program provides an ample supply of competent, fully trained caregivers for people in need within and outside our faith community.

Responsibilities
The Stephen Ministry Program is a caring, non-judgmental and confidential one-to-one relationship between a trained volunteer and a person experiencing a difficult time or transition in his/her life. Stephen Ministers complete a four-month training course covering Christian care-giving and crisis intervention, followed by twice-monthly supervision and continuing education sessions. In addition, they are committed to providing a listening and supportive environment to those in need of care.
Time Frame: Two-year commitment.
How to request a Stephen Minister
If you feel you need a Stephen Minister to help you through a difficult time, please contact Pastor Jennifer or a Stephen Leader. All requests are strictly confidential.
How to become a Stephen Minister
If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister, please fill out a Stephen Ministry Application (see PDF link). Place it in a sealed envelope and put it in the brown box or give it to Pastor Jennifer. All applications are confidential. If you would like more information about Stephen Ministry, please contact Pam Montgomery or a Stephen Leader.
Deadline for applications is December 29, 2010.
