Mission statement

If you knit, crochet, sew or quilt you can join the prayer shawl ministy. As we create the shawls we pray for blessings of comfort, strength, patience, healing, protection, hope, grace and peace. Our shawls or lap quilts are given to wrap those in need of comfort in God's love-- senior citizens, shut-ins, those undergoing medical procedures, during illness and recovery, cancer patients, those suffering from loss, expectant mothers, engaged couples, the list is endless. Through this ministry we are able to reach out to those in need of comfort and let them know we care.

Who receives Prayer Shawls?

The members of GSLC, their families and friends.

How can someone receive a Prayer Shawl?

Contact one of the Pastors or put your request in a the brown box in
the Narthex.

How can I help if I can't make anything?

You can donate yarn, fleece or fabric. Look for our donation box in
the Narthex. Monetary contributions are also gladly accepted.

Meetings:

1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00pm in preschool room E-12.
