2007 Media/Communication Survey Summary
The Media Team would like to thank everyone who participated in the recent Media/Communication Survey. We received 134 responses (124 electronic and 10 paper), from which we learned how you like to receive information and your suggestions for improvements. Some of those suggestions have already been implemented while others will take additional research and work.
Two-thirds of the survey respondents have been members of GSLC for more than 5 years. Over 50% attend the 9:45 am service, about 30% attend the 8:15 am service and 20% attend the 11:15 am service, which mirrors actual attendance statistics very closely. A vast majority identified the weekly Pewsletter, the monthly Newsletter and the Friday Devotional email as the preferred means of receiving information from Good Shepherd. Over 60% prefer to receive the Newsletter by mail; however, many of you encourage GSLC to embrace the use of electronic media. Many of you requested the on-line format of the Pewsletter and Newsletter be improved to make it easier to read and navigate, and you want to be notified by email when it is available. Those improvements have already been implemented.
Respondents indicated that they like the variety of communication, the ease of finding out about activities and events, and the many forms of communications used by the pastors.
You also identified that much of the Ministry Team and Council information on the website is out of date, the Wittenberg Wall needs improvement, and more pictures are needed in our communications.
Thanks again to everyone who participated in the survey. A more detailed report can be found at 2007 Media/Communication Survey Details
