2005 Objective
To evaluate the leadership structure of GSLC in an effort to
identify a structure:
- Appropriate
for GSLC congregation size
- Where
staff, council, and ministry teams can function optimally
As we develop a living and vital GSLC Leadership structure,
the committee agreed to:
- Streamline
and flatten the current leadership structure
- Focus
on Leadership Development of both staff and lay leaders
- Develop
a structure that clearly identifies and communicates roles,
responsibilities, and accountability of staff, council, committee chairs,
and committee members
- Develop
a practical structure that allows members to live out and work the vision.
- Clearly
identify functions that would/should be Òstaff drivenÓ and those that
would/should be Òlay drivenÓ
