As members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, we embrace a culture of stewardship.  We recognize that all we have, our time, talents, and possessions, are gifts from God.  We also know that we are called to be God’s body on earth to help our brothers and sisters with a portion of all that we have been given.  The following information is intended to make your contribution process as convenient as possible.

The following is a list of contribution methods.  Further details about each of these are provided below:

• Automatic electronic contributions
• Electronic banking (bill payment feature)
• Envelopes
• Contributions of stock or mutual fund shares

Automatic Electronic Contributions (Thrivent’s Simply Giving Program)

Some households prefer to have their contributions automatically deducted from their bank account on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis.  Thrivent is a fraternal financial institution that provides this service at no cost to the church or the contributor.  If you are interested in this program, please use this link for Thrivent Simply Giving to download the form and instructions.

    

Electronic Banking

Today many households use electronic banking services to save time and reduce the cost of postage and envelopes.  If this is a convenient process for you, please use the information below to make your contributions:

Account number:  Please indicate how you wish your contribution to be used (i.e. General fund, Building fund, 50/50 GF/BF, etc.).  The church’s General Fund is the default election if specific instructions are not received.

Envelopes

Members of Good Shepherd will be mailed offering envelopes on a quarterly basis.  If you choose to use one of the electronic contribution methods, we will stop mailing envelopes to you.  This will reduce waste and church expenses.  Questions about envelopes should be directed to Peyton Cline, Financial Manager, by email, peyton@gslchurch.org or by telephone at 788-2985.

Contributions of Stock or Mutual Fund Shares

Some households find that it is easy and tax-efficient to make donations of appreciated securities (securities held for more than one year).  Good Shepherd is happy to accommodate these contributions.  Please provide your brokerage firm or mutual fund company with the following information:
