Frequently Asked Questions
When are children allowed to commune?
Good Shepherd suggests 5th grade. GSLC admits with parental consent children who are in the 4th grade. Instruction includes six classes with the pastor. First communion is on Maundy Thursday.
How does GSLC do Confirmation?
Our classes are for 7th and 8th grade youth with a week-long camp at Lutheridge in the summer after the first year.
When is communion?
We commune each Sunday at each service—8:30, 9:45, and 11 a.m.
Why pledge?
It is a known fact that a higher level of commitment is gained through pledging. We will ask that you make a pledge of your time and talent and of your finances. In this way, you will become an active participant in our ministry here.
