Lutheran Coalition Habitat for Humanity

The Lutheran Coalition began construction of Courtney Utley’s house on December 16 and we are well on our way of making her dreams of homeownership a reality! As of early January we have completed the subfloor and moved on to wall framing. As one of the construction co-leaders I invite you to join with us in helping build a house for Courtney’s family.

Good Shepherd’s next construction dates are Saturday, February 3 and Saturday, February 24. We need volunteers for both construction and to prepare and/or bring lunch to site. If you are interested in assisting with meals, please contact me and I will provide additional details.

A sign up sheet with additional information, directions to the site, and weekly construction pictures is posted in the narthex on the Wittenberg Wall. Habitat for Humanity requires that all construction volunteers be at least 16 years of age and those under 18 must bring a completed parental or guardian consent form, blank copies of which are available in the narthex. Directions to the construction site along with current week work day information are also available on the Wake County Habitat for Humanity web site. Visit http://habitatwake.org, click on Current Volunteer Schedule, and scroll down to and then click on the entry marked Lutheran Coalition.

Should you have additional questions regarding this project or any other Habitat for Humanity activities please contact me, Will Remaklus, at 781-2483 or remaklus@bellsouth.net.
